Get To Know You Better Tag

Hello! Yesterday I was nominated by the amazing Sophie over at Beware of the Reader for this tag and y’all know how much I love tags and random questions. So here I am, jumping aboard.

First though, thank you also to the  creator of the tag: Leo at Inkgirl Words

Now, rules:

1-Answer the questions down below
2-Credit the creator of  the tag
3-Nominate as many blogger as you want, it has to be 5+ though

1- How long have you been blogging?

Oh my, I just realized it’s already been 10 months!

2- Do you enjoy doing tags?

I absolutely love tags, both the bookish and the personal kinds of them. They’re perfect to spice the blog up every once in a while. I like reviewing and sharing promo is fine, but it can get monotone.

3- Do you follow the blogs that follow you?

Almost all of them. If they’re book related, then sure. But I’m also followed by bloggers who write in languages I don’t understand or about topics I’m not really interested in, like make up products deals. So yeah, I’d say I follow around 90% of those who follow me.

4- Describe your blog in five words?

Romance, swoony-rants, personal, reviews, graphics.

5- How many posts have you made on your blog? (Not counting this tag)

283

6- On a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy blogging?

Mmmh… 8/10. Some days it’s a 10, other days it’s a 6. It also depends on what I’m doing. For example, I love writing reviews, doing tags, challenges, memes, and discussing random topics. Even some promos can be interesting. What bothers me is the ungodly amount of time it takes me sometimes to get a post out. For each review, I usually create some sort of teaser to use as a banner. It takes time. So even cross posting a review from Goodreads can take up to half an hour.

What I love the most is connecting with other bloggers and readers. For a long time I considered reading something very personal but also isolating. And being able to share my rants, my emotions and find out new reads is amazing.

7- Post some links to blogs you enjoy reading:

Oh oh, here we go. These are the blogs I read more frequently and whose taste in books and therefore recommendations I trust. They’re responsible for half the contents in my TBR 😉

Mia The Book Addict *** Book Twins Reviews *** Beware of the Reader *** Book Heaven Addict *** Ramona’s read with love *** The Crazy World of a Book Blogger *** A Novel Glimpse *** Geybie’s Book Blog *** The World Was Hers for the Reading *** I Swoon Over Fictional Men

8 – Writing or reading blog posts?

I love doing both. I especially love reading reviews of books I’m interested in or that I’ve read and adored. And lists, yes! Both writing them or reading others’.

People I nominate:

Jazz @ I Swoon Over Fictional Men

Geybie @ Geybie’s Book Blog

Mia @ Mia The Book Addict

Steph @ The Crazy World of a Book Blogger

Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse

Love your reply to question 6 – so spot on! Blogging can be crazy time consuming, yet enjoyable (most days – unless you can’t get something to format correctly LOL)

I also love that Social Media, blogs and book groups have pulled readers together for discussions!

Yes, the whole readers’ community was a huge discovery for me. Also having the chance to connect with authors too!
And I feel you about the formatting. The worse is when you receive and HTML that doesn’t fully get converted. o.O

I love your answers Talia especially question 6! The time It takes to create teaser, find the perfect picture etc. is often longer than writing the review 😉 Thank you for participating!

Yes! Now, I’m mostly using covers for my review-related graphics, but whenver there’s a tag or something non-review-ish, than I can spend even an hour looking for the perfect pic. And I had fun participating!

Great post! I loved all your answers here! I definitely agree with you that blogging can I take a whole lot of time and effort. I always like to make my blogs fun and quirky, but at the same time dense enough for my readers to really understand my thoughts on a particular book. As a result I tend to overthink and spend more time thinking about how I feel about the book I’m reviewing than actually writing the review!
I look forward to reading more from you in the future… Happy Reading! 🙂

Hi Delphine, thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. I usually let my heart do the talking while reviewing, and let it free rein, but I know what you mean. Sometimes it’s so hard to convey what a book made me feel that I stare into nothingness trying to make it justice.
I also love to read quirky and funny blogs so I’ll make sure to follow yours 🙂 And sorry it took me so much to comment back. I was off visiting my family
